… there were big movers in each of the five categories that make up the overall ranking:
Colorado, Delaware, New Mexico, and Iowa all moved down in the ranking of cash sol­vency, while Maine and Minnesota both improved.

Latest data is from 2014. It will be interesting to see how things change in a year or two when all of that Bakken money dries up.

UK copyright protections for industrial design have changed from 25 years after an item is first marketed to 70 years from the death of the creator.

This is the result of the repeal of section 52 of the Copyright, Designs and Patent Act 1988, which previously exempted industrially manufactured pieces from the copyright protections afforded to artistic works.

Distinguishing between “industrially manufactured” vs. “individually crafted” for purposes of copyright…. very interesting…
