A really nice little exhibition at the Goldstein (no permalink unfortunately). Interestingly, I found the dresses one of the more interesting aspects of the exhibition. Through 30.December.2011. Recommended.

SpaceClaim (v.latest) seems to be having problems staying in the lines when in Sketch or Section Mode (click to embiggen)-
Looks like I first posted on this issue over two years ago.

Tom Dowd & The Language of Music
Tom Dowd & The Language of Music
Absolute favorite quote: “Duane says… you just… you just… keep quiet and watch this guy.” -Dickie Betts on his introduction to Tom Dowd.
My favorite performance is just a smokin rendition of Green Onions by Booker T. & the M.G.’s. A quicker tempo and more aggressive than what appears on Green Onions. It appears that the video on the documentary is from a performance in Olso, Norway in April of 1967.
Tom Dowd is referenced numerous time on Live From Daryl’s House. In particular see the Diane Birch track Daydreamin’ & the Eli Reed track Intro – You Can Run On. Click on the playlist as there aren’t direct links to the tracks. And of course Booker T. is currently featured on a two-part episode, the first part of which features Mayer Hawthorne.
I thought the narrative of the first half was a little choppy, but highly recommended none the less!
